Registrar of Voters
Voter Registration:
To be eligible to vote in Maine, you must meet the following requirements:
- 18 years old
- United States Citizen
- Resident of the municipality in which you want to vote.
You must be at least 17 years old to complete a voter registration application and at least 18 years old to actually vote.
Where do I go to register to vote?
You may register to vote at your town office, through any motor vehicle branch office or at voter registration drives. Completed voter registration cards may be delivered by hand or mail to your town office. On Election Day you can register to vote at the polls.

Absentee Ballots:
Citizens who are going to be unable to vote at the polling place on Election Day may vote by absentee ballot.
You may request an absentee ballot from the Town Clerk’s Office by:
- Telephone
- Written application
- Download an application from the State

Voter List:
Copies of the voter list are available at the Clerk’s Office for a fee. You must fill out a release form in order to receive a copy of our Voting List. Please call for more information
Elections & Voter Registration:
All Local, State & Federal Elections are administered and supervised by the Town Clerk.
The Annual Municipal Election is held during the second week of March.

Polling Hours may vary, but normally 8:00 am-8:00 pm for a State Election, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm for Municipal Officer Elections.
