Located in the heart of the western mountains of Maine, Carrabassett Valley is 2 hours northwest of Portland and 2 hours west of Bangor, Maine. A Four Season recreation based community, Carrabassett Valley is a great place to live, work and play. We have wonderful winter time activities, skiing, both alpine and cross country, snowmobiling, just to name a few. In the Spring & Summer we have access to the best hiking, biking, fishing and boating and the Fall brings us hunting, wildlife watching, foliage hikes and trap shooting. Our town is comprised of 396 full time resident's and many 'Weekend Warriors' who are also considered 'locals' who enjoy the many activities provided here.
