Carrabassett Valley Clean-up Day May 14th Volunteers Needed

The annual Carrabassett Valley Clean-up of Route 27 will be held on Saturday, May 14th. We are going to attempt to get things back to “normal” for the cleanup this year. However, we want to accommodate everyone and their comfort level. We will offer early cleaning similar to the past few years if you choose. And, we will also be assigning pickup locations on the 14th. Please meet at the Town Park at 9:00 am to receive a location on May 14th. If you wish to clean up prior to May 14th please contact Al Sleight at 649-5333 or [email protected]. Volunteers may complete their assigned location anytime during the week of May 9th to May 14th. Trash bags and safety vests can be obtained near the Town Office entrance door. Volunteers who pick up on May 14th may leave full trash bags on the side of the Rt. 27. Volunteers who pick up prior to the 14th are asked, if possible, to bring full garbage bags to the dumpster at the Town Office or to the Transfer Station. (Closed Tuesday- Wednesday) If necessary, leave it on the side of Rt. 27.

We are going to bring back the post-clean-up barbeque at 12:00 pm., at the Town Park. Salads or desserts are welcome. Thank you for your Volunteerism and for helping to keep our beautiful Town beautiful!
