The patrol division consists of 5 full time officers, two part time officers and one patrol supervisor. During the ski season a security officer is hired to monitor activities at the base lodge of Sugarloaf as well as enforce parking regulations. We utilize two fully marked GM pickup trucks, a Ford Crown Victoria and an ATV to patrol the town. The patrol division is responsible for providing a safe environment for our citizens and guests by enforcing all criminal & motor vehicle law throughout Carrabassett Valley. Patrol also provides enhanced security services to the Sugarloaf Mountain resort and home owners on the mountain. CVPD officers and staff receive continuous training throughout the year at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. This training increases their effectiveness and betters their ability to serve the public.
