Communications Center The Communications Center is located at Sugarloaf Mountain and is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year. All of the Dispatchers are trained in emergency dispatch procedures and handle 911 calls that are transferred to us by the Franklin Sheriffs office or the Maine State Police. We have completely mapped the Town digitally and have digital maps and photographs of all properties in Town for assistance in dispatching fire, police or rescue units to a given location. We also man the public safety radio system that keeps us connected to all other police agencies in the County. We have a METRO system that connects us with Maine State Police and the NCIC computer in Washington, D.C. as well as every police agency in North America for the purpose of information gathering and exchange. We also monitor over 750 security alarm systems at this center. Last year we handled over 10,000 requests for services. Main Phone: 207.237.3200 Chief's Phone: Fax: 207.237.6911
